Meet Dr. Mirtha Gonzalez

 Dr. Mirtha Gonzalez was born in Nicaragua, but has lived in the United States since she was a young child.  She is a Texan by choice and a Plastic Surgeon by training. Her life-long passion is treating patients to help improve their physical and mental well being.

Exposed to medicine at an early age through her father’s pediatric practice, Dr. Gonzalez knew early on that she would become a doctor. Dr. Gonzalez obtained her Bachelor of Science degree with honors from the University of Houston. She received her Doctorate of Medicine from UT Southwestern Medical School in Dallas. Inspired by the technical demands of the operating room and the ability to change lives with her hands, she pursued and completed a general surgery residency in the prestigious Michael E. DeBakey Department of Surgery at Baylor College of Medicine. Fulfilling a life-long passion to treat patients and to help improve their physical and mental well being, she elected to continue her training and completed her plastic surgery residency at the University of Miami/Jackson Health System.

She is bilingual and is proud to treat both English and Spanish speaking patients.

Dr. Gonzalez is a part of the Houston Dermatology and Plastic Surgery team and is located in Katy, TX.  As a female plastic surgeon practicing in Houston, Dr. Gonzalez has a unique understanding of what women want and can help patients attain their aesthetic goals.
